Looking Back: 2008 Bethesda In-Home Community Services

Our Bethesda Aberdeen Story began in 1969. In July, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin became the first to walk on Earth’s moon, arguably one of the most historic events of our times. Neil Armstrong, upon stepping on the moon noted, “That’s one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind.”

On the healthcare front, care options for seniors were also undergoing cultural adjustments to provide senior long term care opportunities outside of the traditional family setting.

Bethesda Home opened its doors in 1969 as a skilled nursing care facility on a 22-acre campus in Aberdeen. In 2008, Bethesda In-Home Community Services were added to provide compassionate care for people in their home environment.
